About Us
Gabbar Chai. A familiar ritual, made for the city.

Philosophy & Inspiration
A good cup begins with what goes into it. Our philosophy is simple: thoughtful ingredients, balanced blends and a respect for the everyday ritual of tea.
Chai has always offered a moment to pause. We bring that familiar warmth into a compact, minimal tea house — a clear counter, a freshly brewed cup, and room for a small ritual in a busy day.
Inspired by the energy of Indian streets and the simplicity of urban to-go design, we keep the focus where it belongs: on the tea.
From Selected Estates
We source our teas from estates we select for the quality of the leaf: Chota Tingrai in Assam, well-known gardens in Darjeeling, and the Nilgiris for our lemon tea.
We visit, taste and choose. Only the gardens that give the best cup make it to the counter.

Our Story
The idea for Gabbar Chai began on a misty morning in Varanasi. A city where tea is woven into conversation, quiet beginnings and life on the street.
That spirit travelled to Bengaluru. Here, we set out to create a compact to-go chai house: a place for a familiar cup that fits naturally into the pace of the city.
We had a humble start in 2017 — one small outlet, a short menu and a simple intention: to bring the best cup we could make.
With the support and love of the people who drink with us, we have grown steadily since. The intention has never changed — only the number of cups.
Today, our six Bengaluru cafés carry the same idea forward. From a quick morning stop to an afternoon tea break, it comes down to the craft of chai.

Modern Craft & Technology
The ritual stays familiar. The counter moves with the city.
Our tablet POS keeps ordering, billing and preparation connected, so the team can focus on making your cup. Takeaway or a cup at the café — a simple choice at the counter.
On your phone, our stores, menus and hours are easy to find. A little less friction between you and your next chai.
